Unencrypted data is at risk - whether it’s business or personal: Hackers can gain access to your hard drive via the Internet. Work colleagues can take a peek at your data during their lunch hour.

You leave your laptop on the train. Hard drives with confidential data are stolen during a break-in. Another person using your PC accidentally opens private documents. You are worried about transporting confidential data.

Deleted data is not really gone. It can be recreated with certain programs - even old data traces on your hard drive. While your PC is being repaired, your confidential data should be inaccessible.

How does the Steganos Safe work?

Steganos Safe holds your sensitive data. As soon as you click on the Safe symbol, the entire drive disappears. Other encryption products merely make the drive invisible.

Steganos Safe, however, is based on AES, the world's most progressive encryption algorithm which works with 256-bit-long codes. Like all other Steganos encryption codes, it has never been cracked.

With Steganos Safe CodeMeter Edition your password will be automaticly encrypted and keep in safe custody in your CmStick. You have a maximum of security with a long safety password, combined with a easy handling, because you don't need to remember the password. Optional you can write down your password to open your safe if the CmStick gets lost.

You can create any number of secure drives – each with up to 64 GB capacity. And change the size as required. .

Steganos Portable Safe

Steganos Portable Safe™ turns a memory stick into a mobile safe: Its contents can easily be decrypted on any PC with no additional software. Add new data - as soon as the memory stick is removed, all information is encrypted. Or burn encrypted archives on CD, DVD or DVD DL.

Steganos Shredder

With Steganos Shredder™, you can destroy unwanted documents or entire folders permanently. The Deep Cleaning Shredder removes all junk data from your hard drive. This can be done by simply overwriting it if you want it to disappear quickly. Or, if you wish, you can use the technology employed by the US Department of Defense (DoD 5220.22M/NISPOM 8-306). We recommend that you use the extremely thorough Gutmann method for your most sensitive data as it overwrites it 35 times.

• At least 32 MB of free memory
• 18 MB of space on your hard drive for installation
• Screen resolution of at least 800x600 pixels
• High color (16 Bit)
• A mouse or another Windows-compatible pointing device
• At least Pentium or comparable CPU
• FFor Steganos Safe: Additional hard-disk space is needed for the secure drives. In order to use 64 GB per drive, you need the NTFS file system. The FAT32 file system enables a maximum capacity of 4 GB per secure drive.
• For Portable Safe: CD or DVD burner with corresponding software. Optional and temporary up to 8.5 GB hard-drive space for the Portable Safe package files. In order to use a Portable Safe on another computer administrator privileges are required for the installation of the decryption program.
• Secure drives cannot be decrypted when stored on compressed NTFS drives.
